Bonchon Bringing Korean Fried Chicken to Miami Beach

Born in Busan, South Korea in 2002 to founder Jinduk Seo, who “dreamed of sharing favorite flavors with the world,” Bonchon has grown to include 139 locations in the U.S., five of which are in Florida, plus international locations in eight more countries, including CambodiaFranceMyanmar, and the Philippines.

Now, Bonchon is preparing to launch a new location in Miami Beach, at 915 Washington Avenue. That’s the address for Moxy Miami South Beach, already home to concepts like Serena and Como Como.

“Bonchon Chicken is straight Mukbang material,” says the brand’s website. “Muk-what? Muk-order-up-and-stuff-your-face deliciousness. That’s what! So, you in? It’s time to Crunch Out Loud!”

The website also expounds on Bonchon’s name: “Bonchon (bon-chon) – n. my hometown, my roots.”

Bonchon’s chicken comes with sauce varieties like Soy Garlic, Spicy, and Korean BBQ. It’s served up along starters like Bulgogi Fries, Korean Tacos, and Takoyaki—along with favorites from Korean cuisine. These include dishes like Bulgogi, Japchae, and Bibimbap.

What Now reached out on Monday to franchisee Walter Antezana to inquire about plans for the opening. Antezana was not immediately available for comment.
