Lalezarian Properties has applied for a construction permit to begin building Miami World Tower.
It is the first of two high rises planned at Miami World Towers.
The developer has applied for review by a private provider, a step which allows construction to begin much faster but is also more costly.
The full plans were submitted on December 30.
Miami World Tower will rise 53 stories, the permit states.
There will be a total of 557 residential units, along with 1,787 square feet of retail. A larger retail building is planned on adjacent property by the developer of Miami Worldcenter.
Coastal Construction is listed as the contractor.
