Restaurant Juvia, which recently closed in Miami Beach, will reopen at Miami Worldcenter.

Hospitality firm Juvia Group, led by Jonas and Alexandra Millán, leased 8,800 square feet of indoor space and 7,100 square feet of rooftop space on the 12th floor at 652 Northeast Second Avenue in downtown Miami, according to a Miami Worldcenter news release. The restaurant is expected to open by the end of next year.

Juvia, which offers a blend of Asian and South American cuisines prepared with French techniques, closed its popular rooftop outpost at 1111 Lincoln Road in Miami Beach on Aug. 22. The restaurant was at the Herzog & de Meuron-designed garage for 11 years.

Juvia Group’s portfolio in South Florida includes Sunny Poké at 1784 West Avenue in Miami Beach, as well as Sushi Garage at 3015 Grand Avenue in Miami’s Coconut Grove, 500 East Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and 1784 West Avenue in Miami Beach.

The $6 billion Miami Worldcenter is a 27-acre mixed-use project that is being developed in phases. Miami Worldcenter Associates, led by Art Falcone and Nitin Motwani, in partnership with CIM Group are the master developers, though they have been selling buildable sites to other firms.

Records show the building where Juvia will open is owned by an entity tied to Falcone and Motwani. The property’s existing retailers include Sephora, Lululemon and Ray-Ban

Restaurants already open at Miami Worldcenter include Ariete Hospitality Group CEO and Executive Chef Michael Beltran’s Brasserie Laurel, Chug’s Express and El Vecino Cigar & Cocktail Bar.

Roughly 90 percent of Miami Worldcenter’s retail space is leased, the release says.
