Apple is set to open its 10th South Florida retail store at Miami Worldcenter later this month.
The announcement, made by the Cupertino, California-based consumer tech giant (Nasdaq: AAPL) on Jan. 9, outlined that the store’s design will sport nature-inspired architecture with a modern twist.
Located within the 27-acre mixed-use development at 725 NE First Ave., the store will feature a biophilic garden inspired by Art Deco. A colorful barricade has been unveiled in the meantime. In addition to showcasing Apple’s latest products, the store will offer services such as Apple Trade In, personalized device setup and carrier activation.
Michael Comras, president and CEO of The Comras Company, a Miami Beach-based commercial real estate agency, secured the tenant as the leasing agent for the $6 billion development.
The store is next to Paramount Miami Worldcenter, one of three completed residential towers at the development.
Nearby retail and hospitality tenants that have already opened locations at Miami Worldcenter include Sixty Vines, Brasserie Laurel, Chug’s Express, El Vecino Cigar & Cocktail Bar, Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty, Free People, HŸP, Lululemon, Sephora, Ray-Ban, Lucky Strike, Lucid Motors, CitizenM and the Museum of Ice Cream.
The development’s upcoming tenants also include Nick Jonas and John Varvatos’ Villa One Tequila Gardens, Posman Books, Serafina, Juvia, Maple & Ash, Earls Kitchen + Bar, Go Greek Yogurt, Skin Spirit, Club Studio, Sports & Social and Starbucks.
Miami Worldcenter, which broke ground in 2016, is being developed by Miami Worldcenter Associates, led by managing partners Art Falcone and Nintin Motwani, in partnership with CIM Group, a Los Angeles-based real estate and infrastructure firm. Over 95% of the development’s 300,000 square feet of retail space has been leased.
Apple’s other South Florida stores are in Brickell, Lincoln Road, Dadeland, Kendall, Aventura, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach Gardens and Wellington.
Shares of Apple traded at $233.69 Monday afternoon, a 1.3% decrease from the market open.
